Awarded this title by the China Toy Association in 2006, the town serves as a hub for over 1,300 enterprises—including both manufacturers of educational toys and their supporting industries. Its product portfolio encompasses more than 30,000 distinct items across eight major categories—ranging from indoor soft play structures to non-motorized playground equipment—accounting for a 60% share of the domestic market and a 30% share of the global market. Notably, 60% of China's educational toys originate in Wenzhou, and of those, 95% are produced in Qiaoxia, Yongjia [10]. The town generates an annual output value of approximately 5 billion RMB in educational toys and teaching aids, with products exported to over 100 countries; it is home to 13 enterprises with an annual output value exceeding 100 million RMB, as well as nearly 30 enterprises recognized as National High-tech Enterprises.
